Core Group Polio Project supporting surveillance program in greater Upper Nile and greater Jongelie through Community Based Surveillance. UNKEA is implementing these activities in ten counties in greater Upper Nile, four counties in Upper Nile State namely: Nasir, Ulang , Maiwut, Longechuk. And in Jongelie state is implementing the surveillance in six counties namely: Akobo, Uror, Nyirol, Fangak, Piggi/Khorfulus and Pochalla County. Main object is Polio Eradication in South Sudan through engaging entire community in reporting any suspected child from age of 0-15 years old with limbs weakness that might be Acute Flaccid Paralysis (AFP).
